[Finished] Written in the stars (BTS)
  • Jungkook
  • I was going frantic, unable to find Jimin and Taehyung. My mind felt like it wanted to explode with worry and fear. We had agreed to meet by the big tree but it has been an hour and there was no sign of them. I frowned, feeling empty and anxious. I should have never let us separate. I should have never let them out of my sight. I stopped and looked around for any clue. Something was off. The air also smelt different, like there was something dangerous lurking around. I took a steady breath as I tried to focus. The mind link would only work if we’re in wolf form and clearly, they were not. Something in my bones felt wrong, as if one of them, or could be both of them were hurt.
  • ‘Goddess please do not let them be hurt,’ I prayed as I began to try and track them. Their scent was something I knew by heart so I followed the trail. It was a bit all over the place and at times there was another sweet smell I could not identify.
  • As I hurried through the path, a new scent hit my nose. I stopped in my tracks as I realized the smell was human. Were they normal humans or were they hunters? That seemed to scare me even more. I went by the tree as I moved carefully, trying to remain unseen. Their scent became more pungent but it was mixed with Tae’s and Jimin’s along with the sweet smell and the smell of… was that blood? I felt my heart go into overdrive as I hurried to see. I stopped in my tracks as I stared in disbelief.
  • ‘What the hell?’ I thought to myself as I looked at the five males who were completely knocked out. Their bodies were tied together with natural twines and vines. It all looked so weird until I realized this must have been the work of a bender.
  • I sniffed around as I realized the woman was on the ground. I used my paw to turn her around. I saw five, long deep marks on her neck and I instantly realised that the others did indeed come into contact with them. Once again, I sniffed the air as I began to follow a trail that would take me to them. The sweet smell seemed to have become a constant with them as well. Maybe it was a bender who helped them escape from the hunters?
  • I ran as fast as I could until I reached a mansion. It was quite huge and it stuck out in the middle of the forest. If this was the bender’s house, I could see why she or he would live here – away from town and society and from prying eyes. I closed my eyes and focused but soon realised that I could also smell blood. Was one of them injured? I smelt the sweet smell once again just as a woman stepped out of the house.
  • Her eyes grew wide as soon as she saw me. She approached me slowly and carefully but unafraid. ‘Jung—Jungkook?’ she whispered. I blinked, not sure how this woman knew my name. I calmed my heart as I changed back to a human. I felt a little embarrassed standing in front of her naked but she seemed completely unfazed.
  • ‘How do you know my name and –ah!’ I said as I felt a burning sensation on my forearm. I lifted my arm and looked, my eyes growing wild as I saw it glow. The symbols that represented our last soulmate were filling up with beautiful shades of colours.
  • I looked up back at her, my eyes wide as I saw her smile. She showed me her tattoo as one of the stars filled in with colour. ‘You’re… you’re our last soulmate,’ I stuttered as she nodded. I smiled as I instantly hugged her. I lifted her, cutting her off from the ground as I twirled her around. I heard her giggle as I set her back down. ‘I’m so happy we found you. You have no idea how long we’ve been waiting to meet you,’ I said, excitedly as she smiled.
  • ‘I was waiting for you too. I bet you’re here because of Taehyung and Jimin though,’ she said with a wink, reminding me of how and why I ended up here.
  • ‘Yes. I’m guessing you met them. Are they okay?’ I asked as I reached for her hands. She nodded and I sighed in relief. It was like a weight was lifted off my chest and shoulders. I could feel relief sink in every pore of my body. They were safe.
  • ‘Truth is, they got ambushed by hunters. Taehyung got shot but I managed to heal him. They’re inside. We were actually getting ready to come find you because they were worried about you,’ she explained quickly. It took me a minute to actually absorb everything. They were attacked by hunters and Taehyung was shot... wait? Shot?
  • ‘Taehyung was shot?’ I asked, feeling a certain anger bubbling inside my chest. She sighed and nodded sadly. ‘How is he? I mean I know you said you healed him but…’ I said, unable to find the proper words.
  • ‘Hey, I get it, you’re worried. He needs to rest but I managed to heal the wound itself,’ she said as I nodded, feeling relieved. ‘Come on, let’s go inside,’ she said as she took my hand and led me inside.
  • I simply followed as she led me to the spacious and well lighted living room. I saw them and I felt my heart swell with further relief. There was a certain difference between being told someone you love is okay and to actually see them being okay. They both turned around, their eyes going wide as smiles showed on their faces. Their faces must have been mirroring my own relief.
  • ‘KOOK!’ Jimin yelled as he rushed to hug me. He hit me with such force it took all my strength to keep us from falling. I laughed as I hugged him tightly, engulfing his much smaller frame.
  • ‘Hey Chim,’ I said as I caressed his back, stroking it up and down. Taehyung also approached as he joined in the hug.
  • ‘We’re so glad you’re okay. We were so worried about you,’ Taehyung said.
  • ‘I’m okay,’ I said as I touched Taehyung’s cheek. Jimin pulled away from the hug and took both of our hands.
  • ‘We’re all okay now. We just need to wait for the hyungs, so they can also meet Alina,’ Jimin said as he turned to look towards the girl.
  • ‘Your name is Alina?’ I asked and she nodded with a smile. ‘It’s a beautiful name,’ I said. A beautiful name for a beautiful woman. It was certainly a name worthy of her.
  • ‘It means independent, strong-willed and free-spirited,’ she replied with a playful smile. My heart skipped a beat, feeling a certain warmth filling my body.
  • ‘Something tells me it’s pretty accurate,’ Taehyung said, with a smile. ‘I can’t wait until the others see you,’ he said.
  • ‘I was so shocked when I realized she was our soulmate,’ I admitted.
  • ‘Imagine how it was for us. One moment we were surrounded by hunters and the next, she had sent them flying against trees and tied up with vines,’ Jimin exclaimed excitedly.
  • ‘Ah so that was indeed your work,’ I said and she nodded. I could not help but feel proud of her, even if she must have done it a hundred times to protect herself from those *s.
  • ‘Yeah,’ she said rubbing the back of her neck as if she seemed embarrassed. Cute! ‘I’m going to go get you some clothes and some food,’ she said as I nodded. ‘Thank the goddess I always kept some spare clothes,’ I heard her mumble to herself, probably unaware of our hyper hearing.
  • I watched her as she left the living room and I turned back to Jimin and Taehyung who were both smiling. ‘Wow, we got lucky, didn’t we?’ I asked, unable to help myself.
  • ‘We certainly did Kooks. She’s so pretty but not only that, she's kind, fearless and badass. She’s an allrounder,’ Taehyung said.
  • ‘I still can’t believe it happened finally,’ Jimin said. ‘I really can’t wait until the hyungs come back so we can all be together now,’ he said.
